Music Festival in RL brings 2800 people!

They came from NYC and Boston by the busload, 2800 of them,  to participate in a weekend called Summer Camp, held at Raquette Lake Girls and Boys Camps, hosted by WeWork.  During the day all kinds of outdoor recreation including swimming, SUBing, sailing, kayaking, softball, volleyball….the list goes on and on. After dark on Sat night, a music fest with entertainment by Chromeo, The Chainsmokers, TJ Miller from Silicon Valley, Great Good Fine OK, as well as others.    Ticket included transportation to and from Raquette Lake, lodging at either RL Girls or Boys Camp, all meals, open bar the whole weekend, use of the camps recreational facilities and musical entertainment Saturday evening.  One participant commented that the isolation and remoteness of the Summer Camp location helped him decide to come.  Remote yes:   a 5-6 hrs bus ride from NYC or Boston, then a water taxi ride over to Boys Camp which is boat access only.  Everything at Boys Camp had to barged over including portable bathrooms, tent platforms, food and beverage stations, all food and beverages, tractor trailer load of ice, generators, etc.
