Mark your calendars!  The Adirondack Lakes Center For the Arts Annual Winter Benefit is Sat Jan 31, 2015.

6-9 pm at Minnowbrook on Blue Mt Lake, in the

Adirondacks.  $40/$45 pp member/non-member.

$35/$40 pp if you book a room Sat night at

Minnowbrook.   Rooms range in price from

$100 to $175 per room, not per person, and

includes breakfast Sunday morning.

Proceeds from the Winter Benefit, one of three major fundraisers held each year, help support the Adirondack Lakes Center For the Arts programs and enable the artistic and administrative staff to carry out its mission and vision. The evening includes fabulous food and drink, music, laughter, great conversation and live and silent auctions. Kip Blanchard of Blanchard’s Auction House will be our auctioneer again. We’re hoping to post all or most of the silent and live auction items on line in advance so that people can read up on what will be available and hopefully generate some excitement and buzz.

There’s even the opportunity to overnight at Minnowbrook, which normally can’t be done by individuals, with breakfast included Sun morning. Why not plan a fun evening and overnight with friends and/or family? No cooking. No dishes. Yea!

Just as the surrounding mountains feed our spirit, the Arts Center nourishes our need for culture, our thirst for theatre, community, and soul. It changes lives, Certainly it enriches them. The Arts Center would do credit to any major city in the nation. That it should exist in the heart of the Adirondacks, in a county without a traffic light, is rather miraculous.
