Road trip! Travel blogger Dany spent several days with her partner Aldo in search of undiscovered gems, off-the-beaten-track venues, driving from the Raquette Lake/Blue Mt Lake area to Tupper to Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, Ausable Chasm to the Champlain Valley area.
“The Adirondack Mountains State Park seduced us right from the start with Bambi-like deer and squirrels running around to hide their acorns. And I realized that for the whole time I never missed the “big fellas”. Forget Walmart and Starbucks (more or less): we found much better stuff in the Adirondack Peaks.”
“If you are like us and you don’t like the tourist traps, then we suggest you to go for something authentic. It tells you a lot about a place and the people who live there.”
